Our Purpose
Our purpose at Branch Out is to inspire and empower students through education outdoors, helping them develop valuable education skills through meaningful experiences in nature. We aim to foster a love for learning, environmental stewardship, personal growth, and a lifelong appreciation for learning outside the classroom.

Our Vision
Our vision is to integrate outdoor learning into the outdoor curriculum. We believe students should have the opportunity to explore and learn while nurturing critical thinking, resilience, and the outdoor education skills needed for lifelong learning. We strive to create a generation of environmentally conscious and well-rounded individuals through meaningful learning outside the classroom experiences.

Meet the founders

Louise Lawrence
Louise, co-founder of BranchOut, brings over 25 years of expertise in outdoor education and developing outdoor education skills for young people. With a BSc in Movement Science and Psychology and credentials as a Mountain Leader (Mountaineering Ireland), she is dedicated to the belief that the outdoors is the perfect medium for personal growth, improvement and education.

Emma Willis
Emma, co-founder of BranchOut has extensive experience working with children and adults in challenging environments. Emma's background includes a science degree and a master's in innovation in teaching practices, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to create engaging learning experiences that support post primary education and learning outside the classroom.

Manjo
Meet Manjo, our beloved canine companion and the unofficial mascot of our outdoor education adventures! Manjo has a special talent for making every trip more fun, delighting in the company of our students and often being the centre of attention.
