Dublin Start time: 10.30 am Finish time: 2.00 pm Choose your date, pay your deposit of €150.00, and complete the booking form to secure your space. Led by experienced, outdoor first-aid-trained instructors, this practical field study includes a welcome and safety briefing, a 3-hour river study, and a flexible finish time to suit school schedules. The site-specific river is suitable for safe hands-on data collection and is a short walk from the car park. This immersive experience aligns perfectly with CBA2 requirements, ensuring that students enjoy a dynamic, educational environment while developing essential skills. This field study is designed to help students achieve their potential for high marks in the Junior Certificate. Branch Out provides all specialist equipment, clipboards, and wellingtons. Teachers can choose to photocopy the worksheets in school or we will have them ready for you on the day. Facilities include on-site toilets and a large car park for easy bus access. Programme example: 10.30 am Arrive and meet the instructors, snacks, and time to use the facilities. 10.40 am Safety brief, change into wellingtons, and collect equipment. Head to the river. 1.30 pm Back to the car park - change and have lunch. 2.00 pm Finish.
Cancellation Policy
A booking is only secured when a booking form and non-refundable deposit of €150.00 is received (you may transfer this deposit to another date). Final participant numbers must be confirmed 7 days before your field study and you will be invoiced for this amount regardless of a fall in numbers. Extra students may be added subject to availability and extra costs. Payment must be received before or on arrival. ETB schools may provide an Order Number. Non-compliance with payment conditions may result in cancellation and a non-refund of deposit. There may be other schools with Branch Out on the same day but each school will have their own group and instructor. The financial cost of cancellation by the customer is 100% of the fee if cancelled 7 days prior to the event. Branch Out reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances or safety. A field study will only be cancelled due to weather conditions if an orange or above weather warning is issued by Met Eireann and the event will be rescheduled. A field study that must be cancelled due to a participant who is difficult or poses a danger to themselves, other participants or staff will not be refunded.
